I suppose this is meant to challenge the sequence in which a person normally reads a comic. Is it possible to do this in a more complex story?
Perhaps if a comic is layed out outside of normal sequence, the human mind would be capable of figuring it out by way of slowly changing background color or other symbolic imagery to show flow?
OR one could compose panels in a non-traditional way in order to require the viewer to challenge their own perception within a comic. To step out of their personal world-view they have been taught.
